Vintage Brass A.J. Morse & Son Scuba Diving Helmet Window Panel. Approx. 5-3/4" in diameter overall (which indicates it is pre-1931 Civilian Model Commercial diving helmet, unless it's pre-1916) . “U.S. Navy Standard Diving Apparatus Morse Diving Equip. Co. Inc." The back side is threaded to screw into the helmet. This item is used & in good condition as shown. It is missing a knob which should screw onto the other side of the face. I have noted some dings & dents around the edge. There is an old seal on the back which looks somewhat perished. $400 US

Brass Divers Helmet Window Panel, Pre-1931 A.J. Morse & Son
RARE! MORSE DIVING CIVIL WAR ERA AMERICAN HARD HAT DIVER's BRASS FACE PLATE!
A genuine, extremely old, very rare screw-on faceplate from a diving helmet. Almost certainly this heavy solid brass faceplate is American and was made by Andrew J. Morse, in Boston, circa 1860! 6 1/2 inches in diameter overall. The threads fit into an opening 5 5/8 inch I.D. The original old glass colored with age, is in tact and held in place with traditional litharge and red lead with a screw-in brass retaining ring. Amazingly, the original old leather "O" ring is also present. A true Museum Piece! $500 US
